Hi, I'm Yihang Zhao, a third-year PhD student in the Distributed Artificial Intelligence Group, Department of Informatics, King's College London, supervised by Prof. Elena Simperl and Dr Albert Meroño Peñuela.
My PhD research focuses on how user interfaces and interaction techniques of Generative AI systems can be designed to support knowledge workers in daily tasks. Recently, I have focused on designing generative AI systems that support socially shared metacognition in collaborative knowledge tasks.
Prior to that, I earned an MSc in Data Science from King's College London with an overall grade of 80% (GPA 4.0/4.0), and a BSc in Cognitive Psychology and Computer Science from the University of Sheffield, where I received an International Undergraduate Scholarship.
